The orientation is also fundamental: optimal for the south, completely not recommended for the north. As for the size, however, it is not usually a problem: a domestic-sized system, with 3 kW of nominal power, requires a maximum of 30 square meters of space on pitched roofs which become 40 for flat surfaces. However, 5 square meters must be added to these measurements for each kW of nominal power in the case of a triangular roof. Furthermore, any unusable space due to the presence of antennas or chimneys must be considered.
